GEL knows that a stable funding mechanism is key to environmental progress at the community level. Your support of funds, products and in-kind services is critical to enhance existing local activities, support a GEL program area or launch a new joint community project.
Make a gift to assist community efforts! Give us a call if you are looking to donate toward an environmental effort. Cash donations to GEL’s program can be sent by mailing a cheque to 15A Cork Street East, Guelph, Ontario N1H 2W7. We will acknowledge your gift with a thank-you letter and recognition on our promotional materials.
In 2005, GEL created a Project Centre to help local groups undertake activities. Groups are always in need of equipment like shovels, display panels, festival tents and presentation supplies. Check out our PROJECT CENTRE to find out how to donate in-kind items.
Commitees
Over thirty local voluntary environmental groups exist within Guelph and Wellington County with about 3000 active members. We also know that new groups have been created since our first assessment in 2002. This original survey indicated that services and resources are deeply needed to assist capacity building, partnering and project implementation. GEL has created a number of committees to address these issues and other gaps toward progress.
